Never Being Finished

Ohh, how I wished I could just wake up in the morning and getting this message sometimes. Haha.

Sometimes I just want to sleep in and wake up late

First Time 3D Studio Max

Finally started learning 3DS Max and for me it was tough. It's like trying to mold clay using a pc. But I guess once I know a bit more on the tools that the software can offer I think I can make it work.
So, our first 3DS Max assignment we had to do on a miniature of a designer's chair. Mine was the Rover Chair by Ron Arad. When I had the chance I will upload the miniature chair, don't fret.

Couldn't get the curve parts right but for an amateur work I think it's okaayy, I guess.
Composition is quite simple. The circles was supposed to be based on the tubular steel framing on both sides of the chair.
Planned to add shadows in 3DS Max but I failed miserably. So scratch the shadows. Maybe next time.
Background is still too white. And I totally forgot to add the dimensions. Hopefully the lecturer didn't notice that...

How I Wished This Project's Mine

This time around, we had to compose for any kind of project which we just copy and paste from the internet. But what we need are plan, section, ideation, site analysis and 2 perspectives. By the way, the project and photos are courtesy of DCA(Design Crew for Architecture). I hope I did it some justice.

Done in photoshop

The composition is a bit too technical and very Architectural. Still a few more empty spaces that should be filled.
Background needs some colour and it makes it look hollow.
The title should be positioned at the center.
And personally I think the fonts could be more interesting considering it's a presentation.

Inspired Ideation

Based on a previous assignment where the class had to write an essay on Ideas and Inspiration. We had to visualize what we wrote on our essay and like last time we had to use Artline and no pencil.

Doesn't really match the title does it?

Not really happy on how this one turned out. Honestly, doing a visualization on Ideas and Inspiration and I had no ideas nor inspiration while doing this. Haha.
The drawings are simplistic and not at all impressive to me.
Composition does not really match the title. Too basic and composed. And there's a lot of empty spaces.
But yeah, there's still room for improvement.

2 Months Worth of Wasted Time

I haven't really updated in a while. Been kinda busy with assignments and other stuffs. So this time around, it's an assignment for my Visual Communications class. The task is we had to visualize on an A3 paper what we did during the semester break. And strictly no pencil.

This is what I came up with.

Ermmm.....

It's quite tough really to recall everything on the spot. And now that I think about it, I missed a few key moments that happened in those 2 months.
But nonetheless, the composition was a bit messy. Arrows are going in and out with no specific direction.
Sketches are okay, but lacking of shadows and line thickness.
And I guess the arrows and letterings could use some creativity in it with different sizes and styles.
