Time: 7.30am
Woke up from a good night's rest and went to take my bath. by 8.00, we all went down and bought some biscuits from the store downstairs for breakfast. After everyone done we all start our journey on the 2nd day in Paris. This time we walked a lot. And I mean a lot. Which is good for me because I prefer walking as I get to see more of Paris with my own eyes. Just like the subject, experiencing culture. Along the way we got to see a lot of interesting places and views.
Hotel de Ville in front of La Seine river. Statue of Etienne Marcel, some guy.
It was awesome to have a good walk with the cold weather enjoying the many spectacular views of Paris. And our next stop is Notre Dame de Paris.
Notre Dame de Paris, main entrance. Side entrance of the Notre Dame.
I have always wanted to come here after seeing the Disney's movie Hunchback of Notre Dame.
"Morning in Paris the city awakes to the bells of Notre Dame."
And I still remember all the songs from that movie as well.
Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Oh, how I miss that movie...
Alright enough reminiscing. Next stop, the Lock Bridge.A favorite love spot among couples. Couples from all around the world come here to lock a padlock to symbolize their love.
Place for couple to lock their everlasting love...
But for me, this is appropriate enough.
From the Lock Bridge, we went to the Louvre Museum. Along the way we kinda lost one of our lecturer. Haha. It was after walking for a while when we noticed that our lecturer was missing. But we found her safe and sound. Then we got to the Louvre. For those of you who don't know this place, it is the home of the Mona Lisa smile painting. It is also the climax scene from the movie the Da Vinci Code where Professor Langdon found the final resting place of the Virgin Mary.
The Louvre Museum.
The famous pyramid of the Louvre.
Inside the Louvre there's this awesome looking spiral staircase.
And I got to see the Mona Lisa painting. From afar. Seriously there's a lot of people gathered in front of it.
Donatello from TMNT. Haha.
This reminds me of Attack on Titans.
A part of the Louvre.
The ceiling design in the Islamic section of the museum.
Islamic carving of some sort.
The Louvre is mostly about religious exhibitions. Which is very interesting seeing all the sculptures and drawing on Jesus crucifixion and angels. But the problem was that the description is mostly in french. And I don't speak one tiny bit of French.
