Experiencing Culture: Paris Day 3

It's the third day here in Paris and as usual I had to wake up early to get ready and set out. Had breakfast downstairs at the grocery store. Bought biscuits again. Nothing new here. Back to experiencing the culture of Paris. This time around we all went to visit an architectural wonder designed by Le Corbusier, the Villa Savoye. As an interior architecture student this building is one of the must know buildings. It's design was based on the 5 points of architecture:
-Pilotis
-Free facade design
-Free ground plan design
-Horizontal windows
-Roof gardens

The Villa Savoye, real life.

Spiralling staircase inside the Villa Savoye.

Fooling around inside the villa.

Honestly the place has a very open plan and that kinda makes it feel comfy. Especially after a long walk/travel. It's a nice place to go back to in my opinion. Even lying down on the grass outside is awesome. Seriously I could sleep out there every single afternoon.

Then we have the Arc de Triomphe.

This arc has always been one of the must see places in Paris. Also known as the Triumphal Arch located at Place Charles de Gaulle. It commemorates the victories of the French while honouring the many men that died during the French Revolution and also the Napoleon War.
